Hello George,

Just a quick note on how Qigong is changing my life.

 1) This past Monday I had a colonoscopy.  While waiting in the prep room waiting to go into the operating room I felt the usual bit of nervousness, I decided to do some Qigong breathing, why not I thought to myself.  Sure enough calmness came over my body,  this was tremendous.

 2) I slept a little weird the other night and felt a sore in my neck and thought can’t for qigong later so I can get to the business of fixing this.  Of course it has been taken care of.

My colonoscopy had great results, no issues or polyps,  10 years till next one.  I am confident Qigong is going to keep these good results coming.

I love the way you keep assuring us to keep our eyes on the big picture and not get hung up on doing every last detail of the posture.  For those of us (like me) that are somewhat annoyingly focused on  details thanks for turning sideways every now and again so we can see some of the finer details.

I thing qigong has many similarities with golf.  One of the concepts we have in golf is something called a swing thought.  The idea is to keep your mind focused on one big thought in the hope that it will keep all the other things in sync.  In golf there are so many things to think about to hit the perfect shot that it quickly overwhelms the mind and you find yourself duffing it.  An example would be : keep your head down through the swing of keep your left arm straight etc.

In Qigong the swing thoughts I have had so far are: tongue on roof of the mouth and breathe slow through the mouth.

In the past 2 classes I noticed that my right hip is feeling the best it has in many years.  Usually my hip feels strained and I feel it pull when we do the leg raises.  This pain is now gone.

Great class! I started class with a sore/stiff neck (too lazy to do qigong yesterday). After class tonight, I feel great! Neck tightness gone even though it’s still sore!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Have I told you how much I love you today? 🤙🏼

Hi George: what an excellent class tonight (and really every time)! I don't remember when we started to do the "pause", maybe a couple of years ago, but I really like it. It brings so much more depth to the Qi Gong moves. My Mom was here last week for your class. Although she has a lot of issues now, and I worry, I was amazed at how flexible she is!! A lot of people in their 50's wouldn't have that range of motion. Also she has no pain, joint or otherwise. I think that's pretty amazing for someone her age. Of course, it's the Qi Gong she does nearly every day with the help of a chair to hold on when needed. Looking forward to Tuesday's class.

These last couple of weeks I've noticed a lack of swelling and pain in my right ankle which was dislocated in a car accident in 2001. Doctor who put it back in position at the hospital told me to expect to be using a walker or be in a wheelchair by now. All these years I've worn an ankle brace and had to rest the ankle on walks. No ankle brace and little swelling lately and I'm walking 10 miles at 3+ miles an hour most days.

Wanted to drop you a quick note before the day got away from me to let you know how much and what a positive impact your QiQong classes have had on me. It's been a slow journey for me but must say the little subtle differences have been huge. Sometimes, without me even realizing it, then it's oh my, it's the QiQong....I'm enjoying every class more and more from start to the very end I thought about how I would describe my feelings about your class and would say that you have been my life preserver in these tumultuous and stressful times. I look forward to your classes, and is sometimes what gets me through my goofy work days! I still have a long way to go, but it's the journey and not the end. Last night's class was great as when I get really stressed out at work I forget about breathing and doing one of the postures. So thanks to you and last nights class will be doing Falcons Flaps its Wings right in front of my boss,,,,,,lol

As you can see, before I had a chance to send this email, my granddaughter arrived and must say she's a great form of meditation, she want's my undivided attention, and I think of nothing else but her when were together.

Thank you again for your time and sharing all your knowledge!

Love and Hugs

Some Qigong health benefits to share. Five days ago I had severe knee swelling and pain followed the next day by pain and stiffness in my ankle on the same leg. The day after that I felt general achiness, tiredness and congestion. All of these symptoms are unusual for me as I rarely have colds or general pain. Worse was to come yesterday with a sudden dramatic bout of diarrhea. By this time I was thinking I might have go for a COVID test (sign of the times!).
The interesting thing was that each strange symptom resolved itself and moved on to the next issue in about 24 hours.
This morning I woke up feeling completely well. I did extra qigong every day with the intention of healing and can only assume that's why all of this cleared up so quickly.
So thank you George, Marilyn and Qigong.

If I can do daily QiGong, anyone can! I’m not particularly disciplined in any way, I was never an athlete and I certainly don’t follow my New Year’s Resolutions any better than the rest of you. When I went to my first QiGong workshop, I heard how doing daily QiGong is like keeping the kettle boiling on the stove. “If you just go to one QiGong class a week, you are putting the cold kettle on the stove, starting almost from scratch and quitting just when the kettle gets close to boiling. But if you do QiGong daily, your body will always be simmering towards good health,” explained my teacher... so I tried it out! I reasoned that this would only take 10 minutes out of my day to do the first 8 moves of the QiGong set and that is all I did for 365 days, beginning on April 1st, 2017. Throughout the year, I’ve tried to attend the weekly 1-hour QiGong class with my beloved teacher, Marilyn Picard. I’ve participated in two weekend workshops with the highly skilled Master George Picard. Most days, I just do the 8 moves just before bed and sometimes in the dead of night I wake up and realize I have not done those darn 8 moves, so I crawl grumpily out of bed and just do them. I was curious. I wanted to see what would happen if I kept my body simmering. The results were incredible! I’ve had Rheumatoid Arthritis throughout most of my body for 25 years. I don’t have full mobility especially in my neck, shoulders, elbows, and wrists. But after just a couple of months, I’ve regained full mobility of my neck. Amazing! I can see anything coming behind me in the car and I have new mobility in my shoulders, elbows and wrists that keeps increasing with each month! I’ve also had my blood pressure and thyroid medication reduced since I began QiGong. I am much happier, healthier and calmer about everyday stressors. So now I want to know what will happen if YOU do the same, devote merely 10 minutes each day to the first 8 moves of the QiGong set. It won’t hurt and isn’t a major sacrifice of timeThe benefits will be enormous! I’m willing and determined to do the first 16 moves of the QiGong set for the year ahead!

First of all, I want to thank you, Linda, Jan and George for sharing Qigong with me.  It has turned into a passion of mine!  Thanks to the 3 of you, I have an "Addiction". Just thought I would give you an update on what is happening with Qigong in Clear Lake, Iowa, population 8,000 (if everyone is breathing). Last week, I did 2 demonstration classes free of charge - and had a total of 28 people attend. Today, I started a 4 week session of 2 days a week, and had 17 people sign up.  An hour after class I went to lunch downtown and 2 of my attendees were at the cafe and had already recruited one of their friends that was with them.  So, naturally I got to do another little sales pitch for Qigong! Word of mouth has been my form of advertising and it works quite well in a small town. The best part of it... I already have people coming up to me after 3 classes and telling me the changes they are feeling in their fingers, shoulders, etc.   That is the best part of teaching!!! Thank you so much for investing your knowledge, time, home, etc. into my learning of Qigong! The Chi is flowing!

A year and a half ago my 89 year old father was riddled with sciatica pain. He was depressed, could not sleep could not get comfortable. My wonderful cousin Ronaldo just happened to stop by our home (I believe it was meant to be) and started explaining about Qi gong and the benefits. My father was willing to try anything to remove this pain and depression (as he is a very active 89 year man) Ron started a class on Tuesday afternoons for him. I can only say that it is the best thing that could have happened. He has not had any pain medication for a year and a half. He digs his own garden!!!!Thank you to George and Ronnie for giving my dad his life back. Pain free, drug free and Full of life. I am forever grateful. If you are rittled with pain you MUST try this drug free medication called QiGong.
